      Hi,
This is a very hard and open question, so I will try to answer as best as I can.
I like the objectivity of science and the fact that once you get a result using the scientific method you can assert that is the answer to the problem. Anyone else can reproduce the result and confirm it therefore nobody will be able to negate it on logical ground. At the same time I also like the modesty that a scientist should always have, in the sense that if a new result disprove a theory we have to accept it without hard feelings or prejudice.
I general I like to work in science because it is a very stimulating environment both for the topic, we are always at the edge of human knowledge, and the people I work with.
I hope I answered you question, if not please ask a more detailed question, I will be happy to answer it.

I enjoy science because it explains how things work. For me science is a bit like magic – on the surface we see the trick and it fascinates us, then we just need to figure out how the trick is done! If we don’t have the science to explain how something works just yet we can come up with equations and theories to show how and why we think it works – just like how we try to guess how a magic trick is done. Thats why I enjoy science 🙂

Science turns the world in to a great big puzzle, and challenges you to solve it! My research mostly pushes my ability to do maths and write code, and there are lots of jobs you can do which do that. Only in science are you doing it to discover something completely new about the world!

I like that there are still things out there that no one knows, and that I can be part of effort finding that answer.
When your at school and you do a test in a science lesson, mostly your teacher knows what the results are going to look like roughly so they can tell you whether they are right or wrong. But at work, we run tests because no-one really knows the answer – so eventually we get back results which we don’t always understand, and then we stand around and scratch our heads, sleep on it a bit, drink some coffee and try to analyse the data and make sense of it. I quite enjoy that bit – the bit where no one knows and you just have to figure it out.
