• Question: What is the highest engery you have used to smash particles together?

      I dont get to smash particles together, but the highest energy we can run the LHC at in Cern is 14TeV – but so far the machine has only run at about half of this energy ~ 7 or 8TeV. I think when it is next switched on it will be running at almost its full energy ~ 13TeV which will be exciting and hopefully give us some new data to play around with 🙂
