I stopped counting at four. 🙂
Actually I am not aware of any proof of a 5th dimension. There are searches of extra dimensions going on at the LHC experiments but none has produced any evidence of additional dimensions. If such dimensions exists, it mush be folded, meaning it is wrapped around itself and we cannot perceive it. The trick to discover it is to use gravity which should actually be able to travel in this additional dimension.

I agree with Michele, we only have proof of our 4 dimensions (3 spacial dimensions and one time dimension) so far. Maybe in the future we will stumble across a 5th Dimension like Einstein did with time. There are lots of theories out there with 5 and more dimensions – up to 26 dimensions in some string theories! But we need a way of seeing them if they exist…

If you’ve watched interstellar you may think the 5th dimension is love… but I am pretty sure there is no evidence whatsoever to support ‘love’ being a dimension 😕
