Question: How has traveling to international conferences changed your views or opinions on Science?

Conferences in general are a great opportunity to present your hard work and to meet people that are outside your everyday research group. So for me it has always be a great experience and strengthened my opinion that these are an essential part of research life. The fact that they are usually located in nice places is a nice bonus.
