• Question: A cockerel lays an egg on top of a pyramid, which way does it fall?

      Well the problem here is that all Cockerels are male, they can’t lay eggs! Now if it were a hen, it would depend on the precise starting position of the egg, and the quality of the point on the pyramid, so I would probably just model it as falling in any direction randomly 😀

      Ah! I’m glad I read Oliver’s answer first, because I had not noticed that trick. Clearly a poor scientist… or just too early in the morning.

      haha! Me too Vicky 😉 Answering these questions late at night doesn’t help! If it was a hen and it was exactly on the point then the probability of it falling in one direction would be similar to rolling a 4 sided dice (assuming the pyramid has 4 slopes and a square base!) and getting a 4. Oh and it would probably also depend on weather conditions and any other outside forces 🙂
