Favourite Thing: Do simulation on the modelling and optimizations

Bachelor degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Master degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

I have got my bachelor degree and master degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology

Work History:

Shanghai, China

Current Job:

Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher

University of Liverpool

Me and my work

Research on dielectric laser-driven acceleration of electrons in a grating-based microstructure

I am a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher and PhD student from University of Liverpool, my work mainly focuses on dielectric laser-driven acceleration of electrons in a grating-based microstructure. As we know, compared to conventional electron accelerator, dielectric laser-driven accelerator(DLA) has low cost and high acceleration gradient up to GeV/m, which makes it possible to enable table-top electron accelerator with high energy. So DLA will be a strong potential candidate for future electron accelerator.

My Typical Day

Numerical simulations on dielectric laser-driven acceleration of electrons in a grating-based microstructure

Right now, every day I will read some documents about dielectric laser-driven accelerator(DLA) and do some simulations on different DLA structures. I need to model and analyse the electric and magnetic field distribution in the different DLA structures.

What I'd do with the money

provide support for students or kids interested in visiting our Daresbury laboratory

I hope that all the money can be used to support students from primary schools or high schools in Warrington or nearby town to visit Daresbury laboratory, which can inspire their interest in physics and sciences. Support maybe mainly focuses on transport fees and food fees during the visit.

Publish many good paper, get my doctor degree, be a scientist

Tell us a joke.

A: I have the perfect son. B: Does he smoke? A: No, he doesn’t. B: Does he drink whiskey? A: No, he doesn’t. B: Does he ever come home late? A: No, he doesn’t. B: I guess you really do have the perfect son. How old is he? A: He will be six months old next Wednesday.
